Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) evacuates residents from low-lying areas after Khadakwasla released water at rate of 39K cusec

Following increased water discharge from Khadakwasla Dam to 39,000 cusec, the Pune Municipal Corporation evacuated citizens from low-lying areas along the Mutha River. Teams were deployed in Ektanagari, Yerawada and other areas to move people to safety and monitor the situation. The irrigation department is closely watching rainfall and inflow, adjusting releases from upstream dams as needed.
