Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) dismantled an illegal Alprazolam manufacturing unit in Anakapalle, arresting eight individuals. The operation led to the seizure of Alprazolam worth approximately Rs 24 crore, along with raw materials and equipment. Investigations revealed the accused, with prior criminal records, planned the operation while incarcerated, intending to transport the drug to Telangana for adulteration.
