A 60-year-old man, A Rajan, was discovered dead in a sub-inspector’s room at the Bazaar police station in Coimbatore. Rajan had sought protection, claiming to be pursued by a group. After being asked to return in the morning, he entered the room and was later found hanging. Police Commissioner A Saravana Sundar has ordered an investigation and departmental action.
