The Election Commission of India took action against officials in West Bengal. Four officials got suspended for sharing elector roll database credentials. They shared it with unauthorized people. The action followed reports of wrongful additions to electoral rolls in Baruipur Purba. Disciplinary proceedings and FIRs are expected. This is due to potential criminal misconduct.
