Risking lives on piggyback: Himachal kids brave perilous journeys to school

In Himachal Pradesh’s Bharmour, students face peril daily. They must cross a raging rivulet to attend school. Villagers plead for a bridge or culvert. Their requests remain unanswered. Pilgrims visiting Banni Mata temple also suffer. The Chamba deputy commissioner promised a culvert before the next monsoon. This will channel water under the road. It will ensure safer passage for all.
