Chandra Barot, the veteran filmmaker known for directing the Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Don’, has died. He was 86. Barot had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for seven years. He directed ‘Don’ to support his friend Nariman Irani. Before directing, Barot worked as an assistant director with Manoj Kumar. His contribution to Indian cinema will be remembered.
