In Vadodara, a private tutor, Jasbirsinh Chauhan, received a six-month jail sentence and a ₹1 lakh fine for severely injuring a 15-year-old student. Chauhan repeatedly slapped the boy, causing torn eardrums and bleeding, after the student missed classes. The father, Tejas Bhatt, filed a complaint leading to Chauhan’s arrest in January 2020. The court convicted Chauhan after extensive legal proceedings.
