These UP districts order closure of schools and colleges from July 16 to 23: Here’s why

Several districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Varanasi, Bareilly, and Badaun, have announced school closures during the Kanwar Yatra to manage traffic and ensure public safety. While Meerut and Muzaffarnagar schools will remain closed from July 16 to 23, other districts have declared holidays on specific Mondays and weekends. Authorities have also arranged for missed classes to be conducted on Sundays to maintain academic continuity amid disruptions.
