Vance Boelter, accused of fatally shooting former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and wounding Senator John Hoffman, targeted other legislators as well. According to a federal prosecutor, Boelter visited the homes of two additional lawmakers on the night of the shootings, but was unsuccessful. Boelter meticulously planned the attacks, even disguising himself as a police officer.
