Rajesh Toppo made CG Great Again As After 15 Yrs, the SOR has been updated of WRD WRD Minister Shri Kashyap and Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo Released The New Rate Schedule-2025 (SOR). The WRD Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo has said that the new SOR will bring speed and transparency in the construction of Irrigation projects of the Water Resources Department and Chhattisgarh State will set new standards in the field of water management. Secretary WRD Rajesh Sukumar Toppo along with Chief Engineer Inderjit Uikey, Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineer and Departmental Engineers were present on the occasion. The new Rate Schedule (SOR) will come into effect from 1st May 2025. It’s to be mentioned here that after 15 years, the SOR has been updated by the Water Resources Department in the state of Chhattisgarh keeping in mind the increased rates of construction cost, labour wages, material and machinery. “On this occasion, Minister Kashyap and WRD Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo honoured the officers of Water Resources Department with citations for their outstanding contribution in preparing the new schedule.” S. O. R. Rates in 2025 have been determined on the basis of standard data unit analysis methodology, as is in vogue in other states like Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha. The rate analysis covers materials, labor, machinery, cost of equipment, contractor benefits and labour cess. All construction materials and works are in conformity with Indian Standard (IS Code) and departmental instructions. Modern technologies such as real-time data system Lidar survey, geotechnical and geophysical survey have been incorporated. It is designed in 11 chapters covering dam construction, canal, pipe network, tunnel, testing and maintenance works. Most of the items now can be directly incorporated into BOQ compared to the earlier complex tender process. The installation of automatic rangage, water level recorder, gate sensor in various water resources of the state is also included in the rate schedule. It is noteworthy that after the previous rate schedule released in 2010, this comprehensive improvement has been made. This change will reduce the financial risk of contractors, as well as improve construction quality. Under the leadership and guidance of WRD Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo, the Chief Engineer Inderjit Uikey and technical guidance of Superintending Engineer Alok Agarwal, newly appointed Assistant Engineers have ensured their participation in preparing the new SOR.
