Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash Killed by Wife Pallavi. Former Karnataka State Police Chief and 1981 batch IPS officer Om Prakash, 65, was allegedly killed by his wife Pallavi at their residence in H. S. R. Layout in Bengaluru today evening. In a dramatic turn of events, sunday evening, Ms. Pallavi reportedly made a video call to the wife of another retired IPS officer from the State, to whom she was close to, and claimed she had killed “the monster”. The friend in turn called the police and alerted them to the crime. H.S.R. Layout police rushed to the former Director General and Inspector General of Police’s residence, to find him lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab injuries. The couple reportedly had a long marital dispute and Ms. Pallavi had earlier complained to Om Prakash’s colleagues that he was trying to kill her. Five days ago, she had reportedly posted on a WhatsApp group of the wives of senior IPS officers of the State that her husband was trying to kill her by giving her poison.
