The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has been ordered to remove Mohammad Azharuddin’s name from the North Pavilion Stand at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Justice V Eswaraiah, HCA’s Ethics Officer, passed the decision after a petition by Lords Cricket Club challenged the renaming’s legality. The order cites a conflict of interest, as Azharuddin seemingly exceeded his authority.
