James Anderson, England’s legendary fast bowler, has been knighted in Rishi Sunak’s resignation honours list for his outstanding contributions to cricket. Anderson retired from Test cricket in July as the highest wicket-taker among fast bowlers, amassing 704 wickets. He continues his career with Lancashire, marking his 25th first-class season. According to the British government, Anderson will be knighted for “services to cricket.”
