Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest carmaker, is set to release its second-quarter results today, 27 October. Share remains in a downtrend, but ₹11,000 level offers strong support According to technical analysis, Maruti’s share is clearly in a downtrend. The stock is trading below its 20-day and 50-day EMAs. The 20-day EMA has remained below the 50-day EMA since the end of August. Whenever the share attempted a recovery in October, selling emerged at the 20-day EMA. The share also declined near ₹11,650 last week. However, there are now signs that selling pressure is easing slightly. The share has held the ₹11,000 level over the past few sessions. The Directional Movement Index also supports this view. The ADX has declined from its peak to 51.5, indicating that the strength of the downtrend is gradually weakening.
