Despite the ban on trade with India, demand for Indian goods has risen sharply in Pakistan. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Pakistan imported goods worth $61.74 million, or around ₹5,876 crore, from India in the first three months (July-September) of financial year 2026-27-69% more than in the previous year. Pakistan bought Indian goods worth ₹3,478 crore during the same period last year. Notably, not a single rupee’s worth of goods came from Pakistan to India during this period, meaning India’s imports were completely zero. Direct trade between India and Pakistan has been completely suspended since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in 2025.
