Gold and silver prices declined this week. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by ₹2,946 to ₹1.52 lakh. It was ₹1.55 lakh last week, on 3 September. Meanwhile, silver fell from ₹2.35 lakh per kilogram to ₹2.29 lakh. This means its price decreased by ₹6,536. On 31 December 2025, 10 grams of gold cost ₹1.33 lakh; it has now risen to ₹1.52 lakh. Meanwhile, silver stood at ₹2.30 lakh per kg on 31 December 2025, but has now fallen to around ₹2.29 lakh.
