Tata Steel has decided to sell its Indian Super League (ISL) football team Jamshedpur FC to Goa’s famous sports club Churchill Brothers for just ₹100. Tata Steel has signed a share purchase agreement to transfer its 100% stake. A Share Purchase Agreement was signed between Tata Steel and Churchill Brothers with the ownership of all 4.08 crore equity shares being transferred. Under this deal, Churchill Brothers would now have control over Jamshedpur FC’s ISL license and will oversee the contracts and support staff members, from September 2026. The deal, however, is subject to approval by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), with the formalities expected to be finished by 31 August.
