Bajaj Finance Was the Top Gainer: Market Cap Surged by 80,345 Crore Leading financial services company Bajaj Finance was the best-performing company among the top 10 companies. Last week, the company’s market cap increased by 80,345.97 crore rupees to reach 7,10,817.51 crore rupees. In the first quarter of FY 2026-27 (June quarter), the company’s consolidated net profit (Consolidated PAT) recorded a 28% increase on an annual basis. Following this quarterly results announcement, the company’s shares closed with a surge of over 8% on Friday. 2. Strong buying in Bharti Airtel, TCS and Reliance as well Bharti Airtel stood second in terms of increase in valuation. Bharti Airtel’s market cap increased by 44,959.50 crore rupees to reach 12,30,005.63 crore rupees. Meanwhile, IT sector giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) saw its market cap increase by 40,414.03 crore rupees to 8,55,894.78 crore rupees. The country’s most valuable company, Reliance Industries, also added 39,447.35 crore rupees to its market cap, taking its total valuation to 17,69,108.79 crore rupees. 3. Improvement in valuation of LT, SBI, HDFC Bank and LIC Looking at the performance of other major companies: Larsen Toubro (LT): Market cap increased by Rs 21,096.80 crore to reach Rs 5,41,844.69 crore. State Bank of India (SBI): Valuation increased by Rs 10,845.97 crore to Rs 9,47,799.81 crore. HDFC Bank: Valuation increased by Rs 8,164.73 crore and closed at Rs 11,52,150.63 crore. Life Insurance Corporation (LIC): Market cap recorded an increase of Rs 4,427.49 crore. ICICI Bank: The company’s market cap increased by Rs 1,660.37 crore. 4. Loss for Hindustan Unilever: Market Cap Decreased by Rs 10,326 Crore During the week, among the top 10 companies, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) was the only company whose market cap declined. The company’s market capitalization decreased by Rs 10,326.46 crore to Rs 4,93,602.13 crore. 6. Experts’ Opinion: Support from FII Buying and Global Signals Last week, the BSE’s 30-share Sensex managed to gain 2,034.87 points, or 2.67%. Meanwhile, the NSE’s Nifty rose 616.15 points, or 2.59%.
