Maruti Suzuki cars to become more expensive:Company to hike prices by up to ₹30,000 across models from Aug

Maruti Suzuki India said on Tuesday that its cars will become expensive by up to ₹30,000 from August due to continuous rise in input costs. The exact quantum of change will vary from model to model, Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing. In view of the continuous sustained increase in input costs, the company has decided to increase the prices of its models across its portfolio by up to ₹30,000. -Maruti Suzuki India The company further added that it was trying to bear the cost burden itself until now, but now it has become necessary to pass it on to customers. The company sells a range of cars and SUVs from entry-level S-Presso to premium utility vehicle Invicto priced between ₹3.5 lakh and ₹28.70 lakh (ex-showroom.) Earlier, Maruti Suzuki India had increased the prices of its cars in February also. Tata Motors also increased rates this year: Tata Motors, the company that makes cars like the Tiago and Safari had also increased the prices of its regular petrol and diesel cars (called “ICE” cars) from 1 April, 2026. On average, the price of Tata’s petrol and diesel cars went up by about 0.5%. Hyundai car prices increased by up to ₹12,800 from 1 June, 2026: Earlier, Hyundai Motor India’s cars had become expensive from June 1, 2026. The company had decided to increase the prices of its cars by up to ₹12,800.
