open-sale-of-medicines-with-more-than-12%-alcohol-banned:medical-stores-cannot-sell-without-doctor’s-prescription

The central government has stopped the open sale of medicines with more than 12% alcohol mix. Now these medicines cannot be sold without a valid prescription from a doctor. The government has made this change in the Drugs Rules, 1945 to prevent misuse of medicines. Under the new rule, all liquid medicines that contain more than 12% ethyl alcohol and are sold in bottles larger than 30 milliliters have been included in the ‘Schedule H1’ category. After this change, these medicines can no longer be sold openly and the rules for medical stores to sell them will become quite strict. (This is a developing news)
