suspended-officer-claims-‘everyone-takes-commission’:alleges-collection-network-from-district-to-bhopal;-says-he’ll-submit-proof-in-hc

Suresh Samele, the contractual sub-engineer of Majhgawan Janpad Panchayat, who was suspended after several complaints, including financial irregularities in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, appeared before the media for the first time on Thursday. He claimed that a commission system operates from the Janpad Panchayat to Bhopal. Samele stated that he possesses audio, video, and other evidence, which he will present in the High Court. Samele said, Who is the son of a bitch who doesn’t take money? If someone doesn’t take it, let them swear on their son in front of Hanuman ji, then I will believe it. He claims that in construction works, commission is fixed at different levels from bottom to top. Said – Sub-engineers have become recovery agents Samele alleged that sub-engineers have now become recovery agents. He said that he himself has been a part of this system and was also made to recover money. According to him, he has audio and video records of when contributions were made and how money reached from bottom to top, which he will present in the High Court. He also called the allegations of taking commission against him baseless. He says that 10 to 15 percent commission is taken in works related to EMF, grants, and other heads. Money has to be paid at several levels, from utility certificates to payments. Claim – ‘Suitcases’ are also sent for those who come for inspection
Samele claimed that the commission percentage is fixed up to the level of Sarpanch, Secretary, GRS, Sub Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Janpad. He alleged that ‘suitcases’ are also sent for officers coming from the district, commissionerate, and Bhopal for inspection. Commission breakdown Said – Engineers made scapegoats
Samele says that the allegations against him are an attempt to save the entire system. He claimed that he would present all evidence in the High Court and explain how extortion takes place and how sub-engineers are made scapegoats. He alleges that officials coming to Bhopal are also part of this system. Previously faced action for carrying a gun during inspection
Satish Samele was a contractual sub-engineer of RES in Hiraudi Gram Panchayat of Majhgawan Janpad Panchayat. Sarpanchs, secretaries, and villagers had complained against him that he used to carry a gun during the inspection of construction works. The District Panchayat CEO had issued him a show-cause notice. Samele had admitted to carrying the gun, but his response was not considered satisfactory. After this, he was first office-attached and later suspended, and a departmental inquiry was initiated.
