An indefinite sit-in protest at Tantya Bhil Square over the alleged NEET paper leak and various issues concerning students and youth has entered its sixth day. A large number of students, youngsters, parents and social activists gathered at the protest site to oppose what they described as injustice towards students’ futures. On Sunday, protesters organised a foot march from Tantya Bhil Square to Bolaram Ustad Marg to strengthen the movement and expand public participation. During the rally, students raised slogans demanding transparency in the education system, a fair examination process and action on issues related to students’ interests. Tribute paid to deceased students During the march, protesters observed silence to pay tribute to students who allegedly lost their lives after being affected by the NEET paper leak controversy. They also expressed condolences to the bereaved families. Participants reiterated their demand for justice for students and called for measures to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. Protesters vow to continue agitation Those participating in the protest said the movement against repeated paper leaks, irregularities in the examination system and what they termed as playing with students’ futures would continue until fair and strict action is taken against those responsible and concrete decisions are made on students’ demands. After the rally, all protesters returned to the demonstration site at Tantya Bhil Square, where the indefinite sit-in continues. The protesters appealed to students, youth, parents and concerned citizens across the state to join the protest and strengthen the ongoing movement.
