A three-year-old boy from Indore died after falling from the third-floor window of a hotel in Nainital while on a family vacation with his parents. The child, identified as Gaurant Saini, suffered severe head and neck injuries in the fall. After receiving treatment in Nainital and Haldwani, he was referred to Fortis Hospital in Delhi, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Child fell while playing in hotel room The family was staying at a hotel in the Mallital area of Nainital. On Sunday morning, Gaurant was playing inside the hotel room when his parents’ attention was diverted for a few moments. During that time, he reportedly fell nearly 20 feet from the third-floor window. The incident triggered panic at the hotel. Hotel staff rushed child to hospital Hearing the family’s cries for help, hotel staff and local residents rushed to the spot and immediately took the child to B.D. Pandey District Hospital. After providing initial treatment, doctors referred him to a higher medical centre in Haldwani due to the seriousness of his condition. Doctors found severe head and neck injuries A CT scan and other medical examinations in Haldwani confirmed that Gaurant had suffered serious skull and neck injuries. As his condition remained critical, doctors referred him to Fortis Hospital, Delhi, for advanced treatment. Succumbed to injuries in Delhi According to the family, Gaurant’s heartbeat stopped while he was being transported to Delhi. Doctors managed to revive him and admitted him to Fortis Hospital. However, despite medical efforts, he could not survive because of the severity of his head injuries.
