An 8-foot-long python was rescued from a restaurant in Vilayat Kalan, Katni, as sightings of wild animals in residential areas continue to rise with the arrival of the monsoon. The incident took place at around 10 pm on Thursday at a restaurant near the Vilayat Kalan bus stand. The python suddenly entered the restaurant, triggering panic among staff and customers. The snake repeatedly hissed, leaving everyone at the scene frightened. Snake rescuer safely captures the reptile Seeing the seriousness of the situation, local residents immediately informed snake rescuer Neeraj Upadhyay, who reached the spot without delay. Catching the large and agile python, which had hidden inside the restaurant, proved to be a difficult task. After several hours of careful effort, the rescuer successfully captured the snake. The restaurant owner and local residents breathed a sigh of relief once it was removed. The python was later released safely into a forest area away from human habitation.
