railway-ticket-booking-to-be-5-times-faster:ai-will-book-1.25-lakh-tickets-in-a-minute;-manually,-it-processes-25,000-daily

Indian Railways is completely upgrading its passenger reservation system. After this major change, the railway’s new booking system will be able to book 1.25 lakh tickets per minute. This is 5 times more than the current capacity. Currently, the railway’s system can only process 25,000 tickets per minute, which causes passengers to face difficulties during tatkal booking or heavy load times. The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) gave this information on Wednesday on its 41st Foundation Day. New system will meet growing demand, hanging problem will reduce According to CRIS, the 5-fold increase in ticket booking capacity will bring major improvement in system performance. This will enable Indian Railways to quickly meet the growing demand for passenger reservations. Common passengers can now hope for relief from the problem of apps or websites hanging repeatedly while booking tatkal tickets. Super RailOne App: Over 4.35 Crore Downloads Officials said that the Railway’s super app ‘RailOne’, launched last year, is being well-received by people. Its simple design provides passengers with a better experience. So far, it has been downloaded more than 4.35 crore times and an average of 10 lakh transactions are happening through this app every day. What will change with AI technology in Railways Railways is now using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to make operations better and safer. With its arrival, train maintenance work will be done before breakdowns occur, which will prevent accidents and strengthen safety. CRIS MD GVL Satya Kumar said that whether it’s a new app or AI technology, our only objective is that the complete benefit of technology reaches the common citizens of the country.
