A sensational robbery of Rs 2.49 crore took place on June 19 in Shapar-Veraval, an industrial area of Rajkot district. In this robbery case, the police have arrested three accused residing near Tejoria village in Madhya Pradesh. However, about 5 accused are still at large. The Rs 2.49 crore loot includes Rs 2.47 crore in cash, gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh, and a 12-bore rifle worth Rs 10,000. The relatives of the accused previously lived in Shapar. Based on the information that the elderly person lived alone and had cash at home, this robbery was carried out. The police have seized goods worth Rs 41 lakh. About 15 teams of rural police rushed to states including Dahod-Godhra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar to investigate gangs with similar modus operandi in the past and probed their involvement. A robber climbed onto his chest with an iron pipe Jitendrasinh Ajitsinh Jadeja (age 77), a renowned figure and head of state residing in Shapar, was sleeping alone at his residence in Shapar last night when suddenly around 1:30 AM, five masked individuals broke into his house. While they were rummaging, Jitendrasinh woke up hearing the noise, but before he could understand anything, a robber with an iron pipe climbed onto his chest and pressed his mouth. The remaining four robbers broke open the house’s safe and cupboards and looted cash and jewellery from them. The old man called his son After committing the robbery, five masked robbers locked Jitendrasinh Jadeja in an adjacent room and fled. Subsequently, Jitendrasinh somehow opened the door bolts, pushed the door open, and came out. Upon his inspection, he found that cash worth Rs. 2 crore 47 lakh, gold ornaments, his mobile phone, and a 12-bore rifle were missing from the cupboard. After this, Jitendrasinh went to another room where his wife’s mobile phone was kept. Using it, he informed his son Jayvirsinh alias Tinubha Jadeja, who lives in Rajkot’s Bhaktinagar Station Plot area, about the incident. He and other family members immediately reached Shapar and informed the Rural Police. Son has a big business in the petrol pump and real estate sector Jayvirsinh Jadeja, son of Jitendrasinh Jadeja, the victim of the robbery, owns a Maruti petrol pump in Shapar and also holds a big name in the real estate business. As land sale work was ongoing, Jitendrasinh Jadeja was living alone at this house in Shapar. His other family members, including his son, live in Rajkot.
