On Wednesday, Indian fast bowler Akash Deep began a new chapter of his life in Kashi, exchanging wedding vows with Akshita in a grand ceremony attended by family members, friends and prominent guests. The wedding stage was designed to resemble a cricket ground, reflecting the groom’s sporting journey. As he stood beside his bride, Akash Deep appeared visibly delighted, celebrating the occasion with the same enthusiasm he displays on the cricket field. A celebratory moment on stage In a light-hearted moment, Akash Deep raised his bride’s hand and flashed a victory sign, symbolising celebration and happiness. As Akshita approached him for the traditional exchange of garlands, he smiled warmly, bowed his head and accepted the garland. The couple then exchanged garlands and greeted guests with folded hands. The ceremony was met with loud applause from those present, while family members showered flower petals on the newlyweds. Prominent guests attend the wedding Several distinguished personalities attended the ceremony to bless the couple. Among them was Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh, who congratulated the bride and groom. Popular songs by Pawan Singh were played during the celebrations, adding to the festive atmosphere. A number of legislators and political leaders from Bihar were also present and extended their best wishes to the newly married couple. Grand wedding procession at Taj Ganges Hotel The wedding procession took place at the Taj Ganges Hotel, where Akash Deep danced enthusiastically alongside relatives and friends. The celebrations featured traditional music, with bands and drums creating a lively atmosphere as guests joined in the festivities. Around 350 people attended the wedding ceremony. Traditional Kashi rituals performed Scholars and priests from Kashi conducted the traditional ‘Dwar Puja’ along with special religious rituals. Following the blowing of conch shells on the stage, which was decorated around themes inspired by Kashi and Lord Shiva, chants of- Namah Parvati Pataye, Har Har Mahadev echoed throughout the venue.
