Pickup carrying labourers crashes into truck, 4 killed:25 injured, several in serious condition; vehicle torn apart as victims thrown far away

At least six people are feared dead and around 25 others injured after a pickup vehicle carrying labourers collided head-on with a truck near Temni Khurd on the Chhindwara–Betul National Highway on Monday morning. The impact of the collision was so severe that the pickup was completely mangled, throwing several occupants onto the road. According to initial reports, a large number of labourers were travelling in the pickup when the accident occurred. The crash triggered scenes of panic, with screams and cries for help heard at the site. Local residents immediately alerted the police and administration. Police teams and ambulances rushed to the scene and launched rescue operations. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment, with several reported to be in a critical condition. The district administration has not yet officially confirmed the number of fatalities or injuries. Police have begun an investigation into the cause of the accident.
