The NEET-UG 2026 examination turned into a test not only of academic preparation but also of time management, patience and paperwork. While some candidates reached the wrong examination centres, others faced last-minute panic after misplacing essential documents required for entry. In Indore, a student became so distressed after discovering that her Aadhaar card was missing that she began trembling. Thanks to the prompt intervention of police officers, she was eventually able to enter the examination centre and sit the exam on time. Meanwhile, in Bhopal, several candidates arrived late, while others missed the examination altogether after reporting to the wrong centres. Student saved from missing exam after losing Aadhaar Card A similar incident was reported at Government Excellence School Bal Vinay Mandir in Indore. A student named Riya, who lives in a hostel in the Geeta Bhawan area, arrived to appear for the NEET examination. With entry scheduled to close at 1.30 pm, she approached the document verification desk shortly before the deadline. During the verification process, she realised that she did not have her Aadhaar card. As entry without the document was not permitted, she became visibly distressed and started trembling. Officials checking documents advised her to seek assistance from the police. She then approached Sub-Inspector Abhiruchi Kanojia of Palasia Police Station, who was on duty at the centre. Aadhaar sent via WhatsApp after parents were contacted Seeing the student’s condition, the police officer immediately stepped in to help. She also made announcements over the microphone in an attempt to locate the student’s friend, but neither of them had a mobile phone or access to Aadhaar details. With the entry deadline fast approaching, the student’s anxiety continued to grow. Another female police officer comforted and reassured her while SI Kanojia contacted the student’s parents. After obtaining their phone number, the officer asked them to send a copy of the Aadhaar card via WhatsApp. Once the document was received, the student was allowed to enter the examination centre. Kanojia said a similar situation arose with another candidate, who was also assisted. She added that several students mistakenly arrived at the centre instead of SGSITS College and were directed to the correct venue. Google Maps error nearly costs student her exam A mother from Silicon City set out on her scooter to take her daughter to Government Excellence School Bal Vinay Mandir for the examination. However, after entering only “Bal Vinay Mandir School” into Google Maps, she was directed to a different school. By the time they realised the mistake, very little time remained before the gate closed. The mother rushed her daughter to the correct centre, where she managed to gain entry at the last moment. Relieved that her daughter had made it in time, the mother broke down in tears. Student appeals to ACP for lift to examination centre Due to the examination, ACP Kotwali Vinod Dixit was conducting patrols across his jurisdiction. After leaving the Swami Vivekananda Examination Centre and reaching the Nagar Nigam intersection, he was stopped by a student who pleaded, “Please drop me at the examination centre. I’m in trouble.” The student, Ritesh from Alirajpur, had come to sit the examination at SGSITS but did not know the location. While attempting to ask for directions, he repeatedly referred to “Court” instead of “High Court” and wandered far from the centre. After checking his documents and confirming the examination venue, ACP Dixit immediately took the student to the centre in his official vehicle, ensuring he arrived on time. Mother and daughter escorted to correct centre At another examination venue, ACP Juni Indore Vijay Chaudhary was inspecting arrangements when student Shreya Singh arrived at the wrong centre. When she realised her mistake, she panicked. The ACP immediately assisted the student and her mother, seating them in his official vehicle and driving them to the Navin Vidhi College Examination Centre. Traffic officer helps candidate reach centre on time Additional DCP (Traffic) Naresh Babu Anotia was visiting the Sarwate Bus Stand Traffic Assistance Centre when a student and her father informed him that they were running late. He immediately arranged transport in his official vehicle and took them to the Krishi College Examination Centre, allowing the candidate to reach the venue before the deadline. Candidate initially denied entry in Bhopal for missing Aadhaar card At PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bhopal, a student arrived for the NEET examination but realised he had left his Aadhaar card at home. Although he showed a digital copy on his mobile phone, security personnel refused to accept it and denied him entry. The student rushed to obtain the original document from relatives and was eventually allowed inside after presenting the physical Aadhaar card. Student misses exam after reaching wrong centre Another candidate mistakenly reported to PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, even though her examination centre was Sarojini Naidu College in Bhopal. Because she first travelled to the wrong venue, she was unable to reach the correct centre before the deadline and was denied entry. As a result, she missed the examination. . Three candidates miss exam by less than a minute At Sarojini Subhash Higher Secondary Excellence School in Bhopal, three female candidates were unable to sit the examination after arriving just 40 to 50 seconds late. By the time they reached the gate, it had already been closed and could not be reopened. One of the students, Mahal Dangi, said she had been checking her roll number, which caused the brief delay. Another candidate, despite reaching the centre well in advance, was denied entry because she did not carry a photocopy of her Aadhaar card.
