A student living on rent in Bhopal’s Shahpura police station area died by suicide. The deceased was preparing for competitive examinations while living in the city and was also employed there. The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Singh (28), son of Ganesh Singh and a native of Gwalior. He was staying in a rented accommodation in Rohit Nagar Phase-2, Bhopal, while preparing for competitive exams and working. According to police, Saurabh shared the room with his friend Aditya. Aditya said Saurabh’s sister called him on Saturday night and informed him that her brother was not answering his phone. After receiving the call, Aditya went to the room, where he found Saurabh hanging from a noose made of a cloth scarf. Police reached the spot after being informed and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Saurabh’s mobile phone has been seized and is being examined as part of the investigation. Friend said he did not mention any problem According to family members and friends, Saurabh had never spoken about any personal or professional difficulties. He had travelled to Gwalior in February to attend his sister’s wedding and had not visited home since then. No suicide note found at the scene No suicide note was recovered from the spot. Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter. Officials are currently examining Saurabh’s mobile records and other aspects of the case to determine the circumstances that led to his death.
