Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Governor Mangubhai Patel will attend the state-level Yoga Day programme in Jabalpur. President Droupadi Murmu will also participate in the event, which will be held at Garrison Ground in the Sadar area on Saturday morning. Officials said public representatives, government employees, students and citizens will take part in the programme with enthusiasm. The event aims to raise awareness about yoga and encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Departments concerned have been instructed to remain present on time and work in coordination. Officials have appealed to people to participate in large numbers and make yoga a regular part of their daily routine. What you need for yoga A yoga mat is useful but not essential. Yoga can also be practised on a towel or directly on the ground. Choose a comfortable and quiet place where you can sit undisturbed for a few minutes. Those who prefer additional support may use a yoga block or meditation cushion. If possible, practise in a garden, balcony or another open space close to nature. Fresh air and natural surroundings help calm the mind and promote positive energy. Belly breathing Breathing to relax the heart Combining breath with body movement
