mppsc-mains-rescheduled-over-upsc-date-clash:exam-from-august-8-13,-admit-cards-on-august-3

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has made a major change in the schedule of the State Service Main Examination-2025. The commission has revised the schedule issued a day earlier and released a new timetable. Now the State Service Main Examination will be conducted from August 8 to August 13, 2026. The decision to change the examination schedule was taken after the dates clashed with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Main Examination. On Friday, the commission had released the Main Examination schedule, according to which the examination was proposed from August 17 to August 22. However, candidates objected that the last two papers were clashing with the UPSC Main Examination. The UPSC Main Examination is starting from August 21, while two papers of MPPSC were scheduled on August 21 and 22. This would have caused difficulties for candidates appearing in both examinations. Commission called meeting after objections After the demands and objections of candidates, the commission called a meeting on Saturday. A decision was made to revise the examination schedule. The commission decided to conduct it earlier instead of postponing the schedule, so that candidates appearing in both examinations do not face any kind of difficulty. MPPSC OSD Ravindra Panchbhai informed that the commission had earlier filed an application for interim relief in the High Court. The court had permitted conducting the examination with the condition of submitting the exam results in a sealed envelope. The revised schedule was issued only after the court’s order. Application process will now start from June 25 According to the revised schedule, the online application process for the main examination will begin on June 25 and continue until July 15. It will be mandatory for candidates who have successfully cleared the preliminary examination to apply. Applications can be submitted through MP Online and the Commission’s official website. For candidates who are unable to apply on time, an additional opportunity has been provided with a late fee. Applications can be submitted from July 16 to July 22 with a late fee of 3000 rupees. From July 23 to July 27, a final opportunity will be available with a special late fee of 25 thousand rupees. Opportunity for correction in application will also be available The commission has also set a time period for correction of errors in the application form. Candidates will be able to make amendments to their applications from June 30 to July 17. A fee of 50 rupees will have to be paid for each correction. Admit cards for the main examination will be available online from August 3, 2026. The commission has clarified that admit cards will not be sent through post. Candidates will have to download the admit card from the commission’s website only. Fee of 400 for reserved category, 800 rupees for general category The application fee for the main examination has also been fixed. The application fee will be 400 rupees for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS and disabled candidates of Madhya Pradesh. General category and candidates from outside Madhya Pradesh will have to pay an application fee of 800 rupees. Recruitment for 158 posts, 4,000 candidates will appear for main examination Through this recruitment examination, appointments will be made to a total of 158 posts in the state. According to MPPSC’s OSD Ravindra Panchbhai, approximately 4 thousand candidates will participate in the State Service Main Examination. The application process for this will be started soon. He informed that in the schedule released on Friday, two papers were clashing with the UPSC Main Examination. In such a situation, candidates appearing in both examinations would face difficulties. Keeping in mind the interests and convenience of students, the commission held a meeting and released a new examination schedule. This decision by MPPSC has brought relief to thousands of candidates. Now candidates preparing for both UPSC and MPPSC examinations will be able to take their exams without any date clash. Examination schedule changed after High Court order It is noteworthy that the State Service Main Examination was earlier scheduled to be held from June 9, 2025, but due to a petition filed in the High Court, a stay was imposed on the examination on April 2, 2025. About a year later, on June 18, 2026, the High Court lifted the stay on the examination. After this, the commission released the examination schedule, but due to date clashes with the UPSC Main Examination, a new schedule had to be issued just one day later.
