Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reviewed the preparations for the NEET (UG) 2026 examination scheduled to be held on June 21 and directed officials to ensure strict security and complete transparency. He said that no negligence will be tolerated in this national-level examination and all arrangements must be completed well in advance. CM Yadav held a review meeting on Tuesday from the state secretariat through video conferencing with district collectors, superintendents of police, and other concerned officials from districts where exam centres are located. Infrastructure and security arrangements to be ensured Yadav instructed that proper arrangements for security, traffic management, electricity, drinking water, and other essential facilities must be ensured at all examination centres so that candidates do not face any inconvenience. He stressed that examination operations must be conducted in a fair, efficient, and transparent manner. Exam to be held across 30 districts and 283 centres The NEET (UG) 2026 examination will be conducted at 283 centres across 30 districts in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Yadav said that all guidelines related to the conduct of the examination must be strictly followed and communicated to all centres. Candidates to get extra time This year, as per the Central Government’s decision, all candidates will be given 15 minutes of additional time. The total duration of the examination will be three hours and fifteen minutes. Officials have been instructed to ensure that all examination centres strictly implement the guidelines regarding extra time. Special focus on security and fairness CM stressed that maintaining confidentiality and fairness in the examination is the highest priority. He directed that security arrangements should be strengthened across all districts and all preparations must be completed on time. Traffic management due to Yoga Day events Dr. Yadav also noted that International Yoga Day events will be held on the same day as the NEET exam. He directed officials to ensure that these events do not cause inconvenience to students reaching examination centres. He instructed proper traffic management and said that if any candidate faces difficulty in reaching the centre, administrative and police officials should assist them, including arranging government or personal vehicles if necessary.
