In Porsa town of Morena district, eight miscreants abducted three friends over an old rivalry and took them to a forest near Gyanand Pura. There, they forced the victims into a ‘murga’ position and beat them with sticks for nearly six hours. According to Porsa Police Station in-charge Dinesh Kushwaha, the assault and demand for one lakh rupees as extortion due to rivalry in the rice trade is true. Upon receiving the victims’ complaint, an FIR was registered on June 10 against the accused Akash Tomar, Khiladi, Manish, Veeru, Chhotu, Pramod, Himanshu, and Vishnu Tomar. Two police teams have been formed to apprehend the accused, and they are continuously raiding their hideouts. Police claim that the accused will be arrested soon.
