Indian stock markets opened with more than 1% gains on Friday, 12 June, 2026. The 30-company Sensex rallied 1,000 points to 74,810 points. Similarly, the 50-company Nifty jumped more than 1% to 23,436 levels. Stocks like LT, IndiGo, Bajaj Finance, Maruti, Eternal, Trent and Bajaj Finserv were among the major gainers on the Sensex. Sectoral indices advance Friday Sectorally, on the NSE, all major indices soared today with Nifty Realty rising the most by 2.68%. Trump says, ‘We ended the war with Iran today’ US President Donald Trump has again spoken about negotiation with Iran during a tele-rally in support of Senate candidate Barry Moore, claiming that the war is now over. “I don’t know if you heard, but we ended the war with Iran today, and they have agreed never to have a nuclear weapon, something that we insisted on,” Trump said. Later in the call, Trump made similar comments, saying, “Today, we settled up with Iran”. “We made a great deal. There’ll be no nuclear weapons. People will start coming home very soon. It’s pretty much, pretty much completed. We got everything we wanted.” Earlier, Trump also said he cancelled a third consecutive day of strikes on Iran, claiming that a deal with Tehran is close to being finalised and a “time and place of the signing” are “to be announced shortly”. Oil drops Following the positive developments in the West Asia, the global crude oil prices dropped on Friday. The international standard, Brent futures fell below the $90 per barrel mark.
