6 dead in 2 separate accidents in MP:3 drowned in pond in Tikamgarh; 3 swept away in canal in Omkareshwar

In Madhya Pradesh, 6 people died in two separate incidents. In Tikamgarh, 3 children lost their lives after drowning in a pond. In Omkareshwar, Khandwa, 3 youths drowned while bathing in a canal. Police have sent all the bodies for post-mortem and started investigation. The deceased children in Tikamgarh have been identified as Prince Ahirwar (12), Deepesh Ahirwar (13) and Raj Ahirwar (13). Meanwhile, in Omkareshwar, the deceased have been identified as Sunil Sahu (20) resident of Sidhi, Aniket Yadav (25) resident of Gopalganj (Bihar) and Bhagwandas Sahu (20). 3 children drowned while bathing in Tikamgarh In the Kotwali police station area’s Aston village, three minor friends died by drowning in a pond on Thursday. All three were residents of the same neighborhood. A fourth child who had gone with them survived and reached the village to inform the family members about the incident. According to Chowki In-charge Bhupendra Ahirwar, all three were residents of Kanchanpura neighborhood. On Thursday between 12 to 1 PM, all four children went to bathe in Siddh Sagar pond while playing. Dev, son of Gajendra Ahirwar (12), was also with them. While bathing, the three children reached the deep part of the pond. There was less water at the edges, but due to soil excavation, pits 10 to 12 feet deep had formed. It is suspected that they went into these very pits and drowned. Villagers pulled the children out As soon as the information was received, villagers reached the pond and pulled the children out, but by then they had died. All three were from ordinary families. Their fathers earn a living through labor and farming to support their families. All three lost their lives after going into deep pits Aston Chowki in-charge Bhupendra Ahirwar said that there was less water in the pond, but there were deep pits in some places. All three children died by drowning after going into these. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the police are investigating the entire matter. 3 Youth Drowned in Omkareshwar, Khandwa, All Three Died Three laborers died by drowning while bathing in the canal near Kothi Helipad area of Omkareshwar. All three youth were working on the under-construction Omkareshwar-Mortakka road project. Police and rescue teams have recovered all three bodies. According to police, dumper driver Ramcharan (53) of the construction company, resident of Kherda, Khargone district, informed that his colleagues Sunil Sahu, Bhagwandas Sahu and Aniket Yadav had gone to bathe in Kothi canal on the evening of June 10, but did not return to the labor camp. When the three were not found the next day, colleagues started searching. Their clothes and other belongings were found near the canal, after which the police and administration were informed. Bodies of all three youths recovered As soon as the information was received, police, administration and rescue team started a search operation in the canal. The bodies of Sunil Sahu (20), resident of Sidhi, and Aniket Yadav (about 25), resident of Gopalganj (Bihar), were found about 200 meters away from the incident site. The body of the third youth Bhagwandas Sahu (20) was recovered from the canal about 300 meters away from the incident site. Mandhata police station has sent all three bodies for post-mortem and started investigation. Initially, death due to drowning while bathing is being suspected.
