India will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches during its tour of England in July. The T20 series will take place from July 1 to July 11. The ODI series will be played between July 14 and July 19. ECB took the decision keeping the audience in mind The decision to change match timings was taken to increase TV viewership in India. Regarding this, the ECB discussed with broadcasters Sky Sports (UK) and Sony Sports Network (India). The ECB expects good profit this year from India’s white-ball series. The board is likely to benefit from both match-day earnings and broadcasting rights. According to reports, the ECB incurred losses despite hosting the Ashes series against Australia in 2027. This has further increased the importance of the India series. All ODI tickets sold, T20 tickets still remaining The T20 series between India and England will start first. But its full tickets are yet to be sold. Meanwhile, tickets for all three ODI matches have been completely sold out. The biggest reason for this is the fans of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. However, the announcement of ODI match tickets was made earlier. Kohli and Rohit have already retired from T20 and Test cricket.
