A major road accident took place around 3 pm on Sunday in Urdki village of Madhya Pradesh’s Panna district, when a rebar-loaded auto-rickshaw, a motorcycle and a Bolero vehicle collided with each other. Two men travelling on the motorcycle died on the spot, while the Bolero and auto-rickshaw drivers were injured. According to officials, the deceased were identified as 35-year-old Rakesh Patel and 28-year-old Amarnath Patel, residents of Sarangpur Kitha village. The two neighbours were returning to their village from Bilkhura with agricultural supplies when the accident occurred. Bike riders fell on the road due to collision Eyewitnesses said a tractor had entered the wrong lane. While attempting to avoid it, the rebar-loaded auto-rickshaw, the motorcycle and the Bolero lost control and collided with one another. The motorcycle was completely damaged in the impact, and both riders were thrown onto the road. The driver of the rebar-loaded auto-rickshaw, 35-year-old Sonu Khan, sustained serious injuries. The front portion of the vehicle was badly damaged, and he became trapped inside the cabin. He remained stuck for nearly half an hour before being rescued. He suffered serious injuries to his waist and has been admitted to the District Hospital in Panna. 6 to 7 people were riding in the Bolero There were six to seven occupants in the Bolero. They were returning from Pahadikheda after attending a funeral in Mau. Bolero driver Harcharan Raikwar sustained minor injuries, while the other passengers were reported safe. Both the Bolero and the auto-rickshaw were damaged in the collision. Police sent the bodies for postmortem Brijpur Police Station in-charge Shakti Prakash Pandey said both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating the cause of the accident and further legal proceedings are underway. While trying to avoid the tractor, all three vehicles lost control and collided. The deceased were identified as Rakesh Patel (35) and Amarnath Patel (28), both residents of Sarangpur Kitha. Following the collision, both the Bolero and the auto-rickshaw were extensively damaged. The injured auto-rickshaw driver and Bolero driver have been admitted to the District Hospital in Panna for treatment.
