A young man sustained critical injuries after allegedly jumping in front of a moving train at Jabalpur Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh. According to officials, the man climbed onto the railway tracks and lay down as the train approached. Within seconds, one of his legs was severed while the other was severely crushed under the train. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the man jumping onto the tracks and lying in front of the approaching train. The incident reportedly took place at around 11:30 am on Wednesday. RPF personnel rush to rescue After receiving information about the incident, personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rushed to the spot and rescued the injured man. He was immediately taken to the Medical College Hospital for treatment. Doctors said his condition is currently stable, although he sustained severe injuries to both legs. Victim identified as Shahdol resident The injured man has been identified as 23-year-old Hariom Namdev, a resident of Shahdol district. According to railway officials, Hariom had travelled to Bhopal to meet his brother. A train ticket recovered from his possession indicated that he had started his journey from Bhopal to Shahdol on June 2. On the morning of June 3, he was standing on Platform Number 3 at Jabalpur Railway Station while passengers waited for their respective trains. Following the impact, he lost consciousness. His right leg was completely severed, while his left leg was extensively damaged. Although doctors managed to save his life, both legs suffered serious injuries in the incident. Family contacted through mobile phone RPF personnel recovered a mobile phone from Hariom’s belongings and used it to contact his family members. After being informed about the incident, relatives told officials that Hariom was mentally vulnerable. Police and railway authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
