After days of intense heat and heatwave conditions, Madhya Pradesh has started witnessing a spell of storms, rain and hail. Several districts, including Gwalior, received rainfall on Friday, bringing relief from the scorching weather. Similar conditions are likely to continue across parts of the state on Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a hailstorm and rain alert for nine districts. An orange alert for hailstones has been sounded for Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Neemuch and Mandsaur on Saturday. Residents in these areas have been advised to remain cautious as strong winds, rain and hail activity are expected.
