In Rewa on Wednesday, a speeding car ran over three Jain women religious leaders walking by the roadside in front of the Collectorate. One woman religious leader died on the spot in the accident, while two others sustained serious injuries. The condition of both injured women is said to be critical. According to information, the deceased woman religious leader has been identified as Shruti Mati Mata. She was a resident of Sagar district and had come to Rewa from Satna during her religious stay. Among the injured, Upsamiti Mata is a resident of Tamil Nadu, while Arika Mata is said to be from Jabalpur. With the help of local residents, the two injured women religious leaders were rushed to a nearby hospital, where treatment is underway. According to doctors, both remain in critical condition. Absconding accused arrested from Jabalpur The car driver who fled after mowing down the Jain nuns was arrested by Bargi police after setting up a blockade at the Bahoripar toll plaza.
