The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the ticket sale schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Playoffs on Wednesday, 20 May. The BCCI has appointed District by Zomato as the Official Ticketing Agency for the thrilling Playoff phase. There has been an advantage added for the RuPay Credit Cardholders in the ticket sale. So the ones who possess RuPay Credit Cards will receive an exclusive 24-hour priority access window beginning May 20, 2026, to secure tickets for Qualifier 1 and Eliminator. Here are the matches whose exclusive ticket sale will go online on May 20. A day after the exclusive sale, that is on 21 May, the ticket window will be opened to the public for Phase 1, and they’ll be able to buy Qualifier 1 and Eliminator tickets as part of a non-exclusive sale. The same structure goes for the Qualifier 2 and the final as well. However, the sale time for tickets is different. So for the following matches, the RuPay priority access window will commence on May 22, 2026: Like the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator, the non-exclusive Phase 1 ticket sales for Qualifier 2 and Final will commence on May 23, 2026. Where to buy IPL Qualifiers and Final tickets? The IPL Qualifiers (1,2), Eliminator, and Final tickets will be available for sale on two platforms. The first one will be the official website of IPL, while the second platform, where tickets will be available, is the District App by Zomato. Three teams in the playoffs, five teams in contention for fourth spot Currently, only three teams have managed to make it to the playoffs so far in IPL 2026. Those are the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the Gujarat Titans, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, one seat is still vacant, and five teams are still in the race to seal that spot. Technically, the Rajasthan Royals are almost in the playoffs as they are just one win shy of moving to the Qualifiers after the victory against the Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. Meanwhile, KKR are at 11 points right now, so they need to win both of their remaining games and hope that RR lose their last game. The same equation goes for the Punjab Kings as well, along with the must-win scenario against the Lucknow Super Kings. Chennai and Delhi’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread Chennai Super Kings are in sixth place with 12 points. The team’s last match is against Gujarat. CSK will need to win this match by a large margin to stay alive in the qualification race. Delhi Capitals are also in seventh place with 12 points. The team’s net run rate (-0.871) is quite poor. Delhi will have to win against Kolkata and also wait for the results of the other teams.
