A case has surfaced in Indore where liquor businessman Hitendra Singh Chauhan was allegedly trapped in a honeytrap and blackmailed. The Crime Branch has detained female liquor smuggler Alka Dixit, her son Jaydeep, property businessman Lakhan Chaudhary, and Head Constable Vinod Sharma. The gang is accused of demanding money by threatening to make the businessman’s private photos and videos viral. Shweta Vijay Jain has been identified as the mastermind of the case. She had earlier served a sentence in the high-profile 2019 honeytrap case and has now also been taken into custody. Police are currently refusing to share further details, saying the investigation is still underway. DCP (Crime) Rajesh Tripathi said that 45-year-old Hitendra Singh Chauhan, a resident of the Baanganga area, lodged the complaint. He told police that he knew Alka Dixit, a resident of Dwarkapuri, who is already facing several criminal cases related to illegal liquor smuggling. Offered partnership in property business Chauhan alleged that Alka introduced him to Lakhan Chaudhary, a resident of Khandwa village near Pithampur. Presenting himself as a major investor, Lakhan offered Chauhan a partnership in property business projects in Dewas, Dhar, Khandwa, and nearby areas. When Chauhan refused the proposal, Alka and Lakhan allegedly began pressuring him. Threatened to make photos and videos viral According to Chauhan, after some time, Lakhan met again and said in a threatening manner – You will have to take 50 percent partnership in the property business, otherwise we will make your obscene photos and videos viral. I still didn’t listen to him. About 20 days ago, I went to the Super Corridor for some work. Alka reached there with her son Jaydeep and Lakhan. All three assaulted me. They also threatened to shoot me if I didn’t give them money. Demanding ₹1 crore, they said that we will make such a condition for you that you won’t be able to show your face in society. Crime Branch’s secret mission, 7 teams of 40 personnel formed After this, Hitendra Singh Chauhan complained to the Police Commissioner. As soon as the complaint was received, the Crime Branch became active. On May 17, at 2 AM, the Additional Commissioner and three DCPs held a meeting. A master plan was prepared to nab Alka and her associates. It was named Mission Secret. 7 teams of 40 selected police personnel were formed. All these teams simultaneously raided locations in Dwarikpuri and Pithampur at 3 AM. At 3:30 AM, Alka’s son Jaydeep was caught coming out of a house located in Dwarikpuri. When Alka was not found there, the police expanded the cordon. On May 18, at 4 AM, Alka was apprehended from one of her under-construction houses. Meanwhile, the second team took Lakhan Chaudhary into custody from Pithampur. At 4 PM, Shweta Jain was taken into custody from Minal Residency in Bhopal, and late at night, she was brought to Indore for interrogation. Head constable had advised to threaten During the investigation, police discovered that Intelligence Branch Head Constable Vinod Sharma was in constant contact with Alka. Chats between the two also came to light. It was also found that Alka had sent private videos and photos of the businessman to Vinod Sharma. Vinod had advised Alka to pressurize and threaten the businessman. Based on this input, police arrested Head Constable Vinod Sharma from his government residence in Rajendra Nagar. His laptop and mobile were also seized. During the action, his son also had an altercation with the police. Before the Intelligence Branch, Vinod Sharma had previously served in the Crime Branch, Chandan Nagar, and Annapurna police stations. Alka reached drug network from liquor smuggling According to police records, Alka Dixit has more than 17 criminal cases registered against her. She was previously involved in liquor smuggling and later became active in drug trafficking as well. Police suspect that Alka and her associates had been trapping people in honey traps and extorting money for a long time. Currently, police are interrogating the accused.
