The Mohan Yadav-led Madhya Pradesh government is set to complete two-and-a-half years in power on June 13 next month. Ahead of this milestone, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a one-to-one discussion with ministers at the CM House on Sunday. The meeting focused on the status of lost assembly constituencies and preparations for urban body and panchayat elections. Feedback was also taken on booth management and the progress of promises made in the manifesto. Discussions were also held on departmental functioning and the organisational situation in districts under ministers’ charge. BJP national co-organisation general secretary Shivprakash, state in-charge Dr. Mahendra Singh and state president Hemant Khandelwal were also present in the meeting. Focus on Lost Assembly Seats and Weak Booths Ministers were asked about the political situation in their assembly constituencies, home districts and assigned districts. Special emphasis was placed on constituencies where the party had lost. Information was sought from ministers regarding weak booths, opposition party activities, status of development works and preparations for the next assembly elections. Ministers Asked – Which Seats are Weak and Strong Discussions were also held regarding the upcoming municipal and panchayat elections. Ministers were asked which seats in their respective districts were strong and weak. Suggestions were also taken on candidate selection process, booth-level preparations and election strategy. Ministers were also asked how many visits they had made to their assigned districts, how many meetings they had held, which development works they had reviewed and what decisions had been taken. Their tour reports were also reviewed. Asked – How many promises from the manifesto have been fulfilled During the meeting, ministers were asked about the current status of their departmental manifesto commitments and targets. Ministers provided updates on how many promises had been fulfilled, how many were in progress and how many were still pending. They also shared information about challenges, achievements and new initiatives in their departments. The discussion also covered the participation of ministers in key government schemes such as Ladli Behna, Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan, Grih Pravesh and Mera Ghar Yojana, along with their role in publicity and ground-level monitoring. Feedback on Status of Committees and Organization Ministers were also asked about the status of non-official committees in their districts. Information was taken regarding the formation and functioning of committees such as direction committees, public participation committees, district-level coordination committees and monitoring committees. Coordination with the BJP organisation in home and assigned districts was also discussed. Ministers shared details about coordination with district presidents, general secretaries and MLAs. Discussion with Ministers Regarding Achievements as Well Ministers also informed about coordination with district presidents, general secretaries and legislators. Special problems and achievements in assigned districts were also discussed. Issues such as water crisis, roads, electricity, health and education, along with major achievements and priorities of districts, were also reviewed. Discussion also held on increasing powers of Ministers of State The meeting also discussed training and coordination of newly appointed chairpersons, vice-chairpersons and members of corporations, boards and bodies under various departments. Information was also sought regarding division of work between cabinet ministers and ministers of state. At present, ministers of state have authority over transfers of third and fourth category employees. The meeting also discussed the possibility of increasing their powers. Deputy CM Devda did not attend the meeting Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Minister Vijay Shah, Minister Prahlad Patel and several others reached the CM House for the meeting held in the afternoon. Deputy CM Jagdish Devda could not attend due to ill health.
