IPL’s watch-time on digital platforms for IPL 2026 has increased by 7%. Meanwhile, viewership on TV has reached close to 500 million (50 crore). JioStar, the broadcaster of the Indian league, released figures for 51 TV matches and 57 digital matches on Friday. Among these stats, a 15% growth has been recorded in IPL’s digital overall reach. With the 19th edition of IPL yet to come to an end, IPL has clocked its highest-ever reach, with a combined reach of 1.1 billion. Anup Govindan, Head of Sales, JioStar Sports, said, “What stands out this TATA IPL season is the consistency of fan engagement right through the league stage across JioStar platforms. This time, the trend of watching matches in regional languages has rapidly increased. A 42% increase has been recorded in regional language watch-time. The broadcaster claimed that this growth is due to the addition of 125 new advertisers compared to the previous season. On the sponsorship front, 22 brands partnered on digital platforms, while 16 came on board for linear television broadcasts.
