A new twist has emerged in the rape case registered against the nephew of a former BJP MLA in Dhar district. Five days after a rape case was filed against Bhupendra Singh, nephew of former Vel Singh Bhuria, reports of a compromise between the parties surfaced. However, the complainant has alleged that she was forced into the settlement under pressure and intimidation. Speaking to the media, the woman claimed that the accused’s relatives and family members threatened and intimidated her. According to her, she was compelled to sign documents against her will. She has now demanded a fair investigation and strict action in the case. Woman accuses accused of sexual exploitation on false promise of marriage The woman had lodged an FIR on May 7 at Rajgarh Police Station against Bhupendra Singh. In her complaint, she alleged that the accused sexually exploited her for six years on the false promise of marriage. She claimed that Bhupendra Singh had even taken her to the former MLA’s residence and that the two were informally engaged before he allegedly refused to marry her later. According to sources, Bhupendra Singh practices law at the Sardarpur Civil Court. He has reportedly married someone else in the meantime. Alleged chats reveal conversations on marriage, relationship and threats The complainant also shared alleged chat messages purportedly exchanged between her and the accused. The conversations reportedly include discussions about marriage, emotional disputes, and threats. In one message, the accused allegedly says, “I am ready to marry you.” Another part of the chat includes references to jail and threats. She said she had gone there to oppose the plea but was threatened there as well. According to the woman, continuous pressure and fear eventually forced her into a compromise. She has demanded an impartial investigation and proper legal action in the matter.
