During the interaction, he mentioned that his younger brother is suffering from a disease named ‘Leukemia’. Raghuvanshi has scored 340 runs in 11 matches played with a strike rate of 139.34, including four half-centuries in this season. He said, “I started watching cricket in my early childhood with my friends. Then, saw the 2011 ODI World Cup and we also used to play in our society. Since then, my journey in cricket started.” Raghuvanshi spoke about his family and his brother’s disease Speaking about his family, he said, “My mother wanted me to play basketball and my father decided to make me a tennis player, but I was never confused. Initially, I used to play football, swimming, and all other sports in my school days. Since then, sports have been my love.” “Another reason I got into cricket is that my younger brother has been suffering from blood cancer called ‘Leukaemia’ since his childhood. They used to be in the hospital with their brother. They saw I used to play in buildings, but never wanted to be in bad habits and they sent me to a cricket academy and since then, I started loving cricket,” he continued. KKR batter applauded Abhishek Nayar for grooming After speaking about his cricketing journey and family, he praised and credited Abhishek Nayar for his entire cricket grooming. He said, “When I was in Delhi, I used to play cricket all day and then sir (Abhishek Nayar) offered me a shift in Mumbai. Now I believe myself to be a Bombay person.” “Abhihek sir used to tell me that when you grow as a cricketer, you will face pressure, don’t take pressure, just go play and enjoy the game. If you want to play cricket, you have to live this game. I am grateful for the opportunity to play in a tournament like IPL,” he concluded.
