bjp-sacks-newly-appointed-kisan-morcha-president:loses-post-within-18-days;-first-action-after-‘save-fuel’-appeal

BJP leader Sajjan Singh Yadav in Bhind faced action after entering the city with more than 100 luxury vehicles as part of a show of strength. Just 18 days after his appointment, the BJP removed him from the post of Bhind district BJP Kisan Morcha president. Yadav had staged the convoy rally on Wednesday evening after being appointed district president. The large procession disrupted traffic in the city, while continuous honking and slogan shouting created noise and chaos. Acting on the instructions of BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, Kisan Morcha state president Jaipal Singh Chawda took action against him. This is reportedly the first such action of its kind in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed twice within six days for fuel conservation and has reduced the number of vehicles in his own convoy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, several Union ministers, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and other ministers have also reduced the size of their convoys. Despite this, Sajjan Singh Yadav held a large public show with vehicles after assuming office. Party had demanded an explanation After the matter surfaced, the BJP organisation questioned Sajjan Singh Yadav over the convoy. In his explanation to the party leadership, Yadav reportedly said he had not asked any worker or supporter to bring vehicles. According to him, people joined the convoy voluntarily out of enthusiasm and affection for the party. After cancellation of his appointment, attempts were made by Dainik Bhaskar to contact Sajjan Singh Yadav, but he did not answer phone calls. Bhind BJP district president Devendra Narwariya said discussions were held with Yadav regarding the matter. According to him, Yadav maintained that he had not invited anyone to join the convoy and supporters had participated on their own. Action will be taken on indiscipline Kisan Morcha state president Jaipal Singh Chawda said information was being collected from places where similar incidents of indiscipline had surfaced after Tuesday. Since the Bhind case came to light first, the district president there was relieved of responsibilities. He said strict action would be taken wherever such indiscipline was noticed.
