Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for a 4 million (40 lakh)-tonne-capacity cement plant to be set up by Adani Group in Guna district. Historic day for MP: Yadav Yadav said the factory will be set up by the Adani Group’s Ambuja Cement at a cost of ₹1,059 crore and will employ 1,500 people. He termed the event a historic day for MP, especially the Guna district. The factory will come up at Mawan village, about 10 km from the district headquarters, said officials to PTI. Adani Group to establish defence unit: Scindia While, Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, that, Adani Group will also establish a defence unit with an investment of ₹2,500 crore in the state. Adani’s cement factory is currently being set up. Adani’s defence factory is being set up in Shivpuri. He also expressed gratitude to Scindia for his support. The Guna plant will be completed in two phases, with the first phase targeted to be operational by 2028, he said. Over time, this project will contribute over ₹6,000 crore to the state treasury, he said. He also said that during the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal last year, the Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, had pledged an investment of ₹1.10 lakh crore for the state of Madhya Pradesh. Addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry Annual Business Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Adani said India should reject the idea that AI is primarily meant to replace jobs.
