In Gwalior’s Bhitarwar area of Dabra, a groom allegedly fired three celebratory shots on the wedding stage during his marriage ceremony on May 5. He also made the bride place her hand on the gun’s trigger. Earlier, the groom had made a grand entry into the marriage garden on a tractor with the bride seated beside him. After the video surfaced on Thursday night, police said the matter would be investigated. In the video, recorded after the garland exchange ceremony, the groom is seen loading bullets into the gun and firing three times upwards in a row. The couple also shared the celebratory firing video on Instagram. The bride’s side had come to Bhitarwar from Sunari village in Datia. The wedding ceremony was completed at Radha Rani Marriage Garden. Gagan is a farmer. He keeps posting photos and videos with a gun on social media. The gun used in the celebratory firing is said to be licensed. However, it has not been clarified in whose name the license is. Investigation of the case handed over to SI Bhitarwar Police Station in-charge Sudhir Singh Kushwaha said, ‘SI Sanjesh Bhadauria is investigating the matter.
